found the article....one person had it , they passed the bag round , rest caught it. So they don't "breed" the germ as it could have been passed on via any item they all touched

Since you made the original claim about bags breeding germs it is up to you to provide links and do the research.

When a bag is described as reusable, I was under the impression it was meant to be reused next time I went shopping, not as plastic sheeting...

No one mention plastic sheeting just "plastic & towels" so anyone's guess if it was plastic bags or sheeting.

Who told you that, man in a pub? Please google reusable bags norovirus.

And if you google alien spaceships attack, you will find this:

Just because it's on the internet does't mean that it is reliable information.

    Indeed.

However the the thing about reusable shopping bags spreading nanovirus is true. It was reported earlier this year, and relates to a study published in the Journal of Inectious Diseases, which sounds like a fairly reputable publication although I'm not personally familiar with it.

Of course the excitement was that it was the first-ever reported case of nanovirus transmission involving an inanimate object. So it's only happened the once. And the bag in question was left on the bathroom floor where a virus victim had been sick. So I wouldn't exactly put it in the top ten of 'things to worry about'.
