Make sure you check the pressure on your boiler after bleeding your rads as well

  • Hi,

Thanks for the replies so far, I checked the TRV and it was minutely sticky but still came up on its own, after giving a few pushes it was flowing by itself however still not getting any water coming through

Maybe the system is not balanced. Try opening the lockshield valve on the other side of the radiator a little at a time and see if the radiator starts to heat up.
  • Hi,

Opened the lock valve still nothing :(

Did you follow Aribas advice in Post 2? Turn off all others at the TRV apart from the recalcitrant one and see what happens.

    Cheers

  • Hi,

No we have not tested that yet. I've checked the sticky TRV and the dead lock.

10 litres of water came out of the bleed valve? bleeding is supposed to let air out, once a dribble of water comes out you can stop.

Take the head off the trv

if it is still not warming up, and the pipes before the valve are hot and pumping, open up the lockshield on the other side a little
