    That sounds promising!

Just strange PCworld, John Lewis have it for sale on line & a huge place like Amazon hasn't.

Will wait a bit longer then

I am currently looking for my daughter, she went for a Kindle Fire HD but the consensus seems that a Nexus 7 is a better all rounder. That is more expensive on Amazon than elsewhere funnily enough.

Nexus might be an alternative to that expensive fruit you would like?

I have looked for a few general things on Amazon recently and found that they appear to be less competitive of late. Even Argos beat them on a couple of things:eek:

I'm really after the iTunes game apps.

There are many more than Google Play, plus new ones seem to be added daily.

I was going to buy the iPod Touch, but waited as the iPad Mini was coming. I am pleased I waited as the price is almost the same but with a tiny screen.

I do agree with you though, Amazon is not what it used to be price wise.

Just have to wait & see I guess.

    Ho Hum.

Yes there are more than there used to be, but still not the game apps.

Also the OS keeps changing every year so you can't play the up to date games.

You don't get the upgrade to the new OS each time it changes so you soon get behind.

But Apple do give out the new updates to the OS

  • for someone who has never had an Apple product you seem to be fairly expert on them. Can't see the point in spending so much more than for the Nexus 7 personally.

I have done lots of research. I brought a Galaxy Player last xmas but sent it back because the battery life was terrible & there was not the amount of games then on google play, still not as many as iTunes.

Plus the clincher for me was the Galaxy play Uk version had a older OS than the American version so could not play the new games being released it kept coming up your device is not supported.

So back that went & ever since then I knew it was a Apple product I wanted, so researched the iPod touch, decided to wait for the new one that came out & then there was talk about the mini.

So I have been waiting since Feb this year so that's why i am a little cheesed off that I still can't buy it because my vouchers are on Amazon but the iPad Mini is not!

You just can't win sometimes can you.

Think there is someone some where that does not want me to have one lol

That is good to know as I had a Galaxy play when it first come out & that got sent back because the U.K version had a older OS & did not update it

Will it always get the updates or is it because it's new out & will eventually not get them

iPads are easily shareable around the home and thievable from it.

And yet, Safari can happily remember all your important passwords.. for family members all all ages, and eventually the thief & his mates, to share!

Likewise the native Email app has no security pin so anyone who shares your iPad can read your email with one touch.

So you either lock the iPad to no-one or lock out everyone via a blanket unlock PIN. Gee thanks Apple for your thoughtful design!

I suggest leave the Safari browser for 'public' home user, set it to not save passwords. Then install the Mercury browser app, put a PIN lock on it and if you must, save any web passwords in that.

Apple, when will you produce a grown-up product (sigh).
