Indeed, mind you on demand has been down for quite some time today. Be nice to have all services from one box.
Wonder if they will ever include iPlayer Radio?
PS. Zeebox on my tablet changes channels on the Sky box, nice. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Anyone know if it will have subtitles on it? If it doesn't that will be the final nail in the coffin with Sky and me.0

Not working on downturn abbey, do you get them with any catch up services? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Yes they are on website, Xbox, mobile, tablet, TV and blu-ray player apps.
I been in a battle with sky for two years asking for subtitles on catch up and demand services which they are basically saying they wont do it as there is no law saying so.0 -
I've read the Sky forum and you and others have a good point.
They seem to be saying increased file size is the limiting factor??!!
May be an on-line petition to get the law changed to include more subtitling would be the way foreward.
Re: Is there any plans to enable sub titles to be seen on sky go and anytime ?

Hi deafguy,
Following my last post on this thread, I sent an email to the relevant team today regarding subtitles on Anytime+ (On Demand). I have been advised that there are still no plans to introduce subtitles to this platform due to the increase in file sizes.
Thanks,
Anne

With all the providers p!ushing internet services, deaf people are seriously being left out. I refuse to believe that its not illegal. You cannot offer a service to a wheelchair person but say there are steps to get to where you need to use it. So how can you offer a service to deaf people through internet instead of broadcast but still going through my TV but get away with not having subtitle. Sky doesn't offer a discount for its customers that cannot use what they are paying for!0

Cost is the main thing. For every program that has signing on it,they have to pay someone to do the signing, someone to film it then process it,synchronize it to the program, convert the program to include the signing the broadcast it.The size of the program is increased because of the added content.
Adding subtitles is much simpler & cheaper.0
