so you've taken a day of work to receive a phone call? I'd have saved it for the decorating

I thought everyone was entitled to a day off on completion day?

Yes, I've got plenty of days saved up. Hope that's ok with you.

Congrats on the purchase - Me and the missus are in a similar situation - we are completing end of april, but not moving in till mid-may so we can get some decorating done!

thats fine, if you aren't having to move in that day I'd have probably worked merely to keep me preoccupied from having to think about it. Good luck anyway it should be fairly painless as even if it doesn't complete until after the weekend it hasn't impacted you with no removals etc.

Contracts exchanged about an hour ago. Should get a call soon to pick up the keys (hopefully). :)

Good luck in your new home! Don't be alarmed if your solicitor doesn't hand over any documents until your home is registered with the LR.
But read the meters! Get the readings to your supplier and set up your account asap as that can take time.
Great day to take the day off - sun :-) enjoy.
