  • NSD for me again today...two in a row!!! :j:j:j Feeling very smug at the moment....it has not been easy as it was a nightmare day at work but resisted the temptation to give in :D

will be a spendy day tomorrow, I have to fill up the car and get some wine and stuff for my night out tomorrow which has been planned for some time....going to get some veg and milk for the week too so hopefully, it will be my only spendy day in the week ahead!! ;)

  • No nsd today as it was grocery and liquid gold day. Ouch.
But plenty more to come - if I work really hard I see I may get to this time next week without spends.
I do have a night out tomorrow, but already took the £ today for it so it's accounted for.

NSD no 2 for me today. BF wanted to celebrate an award he won at work with a few drinks, but he bought them. Also needed "liquid gold" (love that term) but again since BF was out anyway he got that. Not much planned for the weekend so should bag at least another one. Might have to get some fresh fruit and veg for next week on Sunday though.

    Have a nice weekend

  • I'm back again.:o Catching up on a few missed pages.
I'm going to share a secret with you and the reason i didn't make the Oct challenge. I have recently found out i am expecting our first little babba. :j:j:j

And as a result I have been suffering with dreadful evening nausea and have gone off everything so been buying food as and when i fancy it hence lots of spendy days. Need to try and reign it in now though.

Congratulations EverTheOptimist!I do hope that the nausea settles down.
As I stopped smoking completely yesterday (only had a few the days before), fags are not needed either :j

    Well done!:j
    Hello everyone

I'm going for 12 NSDs this month please.
I didn't make last month's target, I've had good think and I am going to change my rules a bit and adapt a version of Marmiterulesok weekly budget. THANKS MARMITERULESOK.

    NEW RULES
Direct Debit payments are not counted as already budgeted.
I will set a weekly budget, if I'm within budget it counts as NSD.
My week will be Wednesday to Tuesday.
If I spend on my downfall items these will count as spend days. These are books, magazines, buying lunch at work, cups of tea in cafes and sweets.

    Glad to be of help.:)

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Hey all, sorry I've been AWOL, my bloomin broomstick got a navigation fault on Halloween and I ended up in goodness knows where  Actually, wasn't as exicitng as that, I've spent the week both totally shattered and working hard. Showcase on Sun has been playing havoc with my NSD, thought i might get one today but ran out of ribbon whilst doing my costume and had to buy more. Blooming thing is costing me a fortune, however I did finish my top today and it look AMAZING even if i do say so myself :o Have now run out of fabic glue so need to get that tomorrow - another NSD scuppered.

Sooo, I'm going to have a month off for Nov. I've been doing this challenge since Aug 2010 (yes that long ) and think it's time to have a month without the NSD stabilisers to keep my on the straight and narrow. Having boot camp 3/5 lunchtimes means I have far less time to go into town now so that kind of works too. I'll prob keep a tally out of habit but just feel I need to give myself a break - esp after the past 3 mths of not doing so well with targets.

My shopping habits have changed too over the past few years and thanks to various glitches, deals and coupons I've got a pretty good grocery, toiletries and cleaning stash :money: As usual I won't be counting Xmas presents as spendy days - I'm trying to be frugal with them as always and have my list (actually an Excel book going back about 3yrs showing what I bought everyone, how much I spent, how much I saved, where I used coupons / vouchers etc) and have actually made quite a good start on my xmas shopping already ('special' cards for PIL and DM already bought too :A)

However, I will be popping in to keep an eye on everyone so no use of the F word

ETO - congratulations on your news :T:T can't wait for the NSD baby shower :D Nargle - is Igor free to do the catering?

  • NSD #2 please :-) Came in under budget today which I was really pleased about, no unexpected spends. Made my own hot chocolate for the train at 5am, argh! So patting myself on the back. I also took my own lunch and saved on taxi fare by getting a lift :-)
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D
