Recieved a message today from a buyer who purchased an item from me ( a girls dress which she wanted for her daughters birthday) on 22-08-12. Now 2 months later she messages me saying item is not as described and wants a refund otherwise she will open a case.
Where do I stand?
For all i know (which im sure has happened) her daughter has worn the dress on her birthday.
The annoying thing was the way she messaged me demanding a refund. Was really rude.

Well she should have acted quicker then, shes out of time and out of luck! I would politely reply that you are sorry that she is not happy with the item that she has purchased however too much time has passed since you sold her the dress and as such you can not offer a refund. She can't open a case which she probably knows and is just trying her luck.0

I had bad feed back once, because I gave bad feed back for not getting an item, never got it. I complained to ebay who did not want to know, so do not worry if they now give feed back xx0

Years ago there used to be the danger of tit for tat feedback, but since sellers cannot now give anything other than a positive, that has changed.
It also must have been years ago if you had no paypal protection as that has been in for absolutely ages, likewise, if you are in time for a claim it is very unusual for ebay to find for the seller.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As 'sgh1976' states block & ignore; http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin
Most likely the child has grown out of it & are trying their luck
No Bad Feedback can be left or cases opened after 60 days from purchase
Also Paypal only allow refunds upto 60 days from purchase, although the buyer can pursue it through their card company & you should keep all communications.0 -
She has initially left feedback when she recieved item. So as far as I know she can't leave any more feedback. She replies back to me this morning saying I am cunning and devious!!!
I'm just going to block her now0 -
yes I would probably block and ignore but don't forget she might try to get revenge by bidding on one or more of your auctions in the future using a different ebay account - she could end up leaving negative feedback &/or claiming non arrival for any new auction she won0

Cunning and devious? Maybe she should take a look in the mirror. I'm guessing her daughter has worn it for her birthday, no longer wants it, so she is trying her luck.0
