Bodytalk - if you google it - you should get a list of N Ireland instructors. The therapist we went to was in Tyrone but there are ones nearer you. Appointments were £50. It is a therapy where she lay down on a couch, fully clothed, shoes off and the therapist held her wrist for most of it. He would identify parts of her body to work on and he seemed to make small adjustments at different points around her body He was able to identify that she had a fear that the world wouldn't be a safe place if she was away from me, her mum. This he identified that she had inherited from me and my relationship with my mum. He worked on both of us at different appointments. He would get me to sit in on her appointments and her to sit in on my appointments as he said it would be relevant to her to see where some of her beliefs had come from and why. He was able to tell a great deal about both of us and everyone else in our household and many in our extended family just by working on her. She had about 4 or 5 appointments in total spread out over 4 to 5 months.
The Matrix Reimprinting with EFT was introduced to us by him when he incorporated it into some sessions.
It is a process of tapping on different points on the head and body which have been proven to calm the brain. The MR is a process of taking them through what's been going on with the support of the therapist. It's £70 a time but 1 session clears so much. My daughter needed 1 on that bullying issue although she had done work on it already through the Bodytalk.
Her sister was going through exams when she first had EFT and Matrix Reimprinting. She had two appointments to improve her confidence in her ability to do the exams. It was only recently that she had it for a situation in school and in her job where she was on the receiving end of some bullying behaviour and it was affecting everything - her work suffered, her sleep and she became clumsy and forgetful because she felt she couldn't do anything right. She had been bullied for 9 months at school a few years back. We hadn't taken her to any therapist as we didn't know it could help. This newer bullying triggered a lot of how she felt when she'd been previously bullied. Two appointments and she had it all sorted.
Appointments can be by phone or skype with Ted Wilmont. If you google eft4life you'll find him. It was definitely quicker than the Bodytalk and more about what was going on in her life now. We decided to try this because its an hour and a half drive from their school to the Bodytalk therapist. We had first started going during the school holidays.
I honestly feel she benefited from both therapies in different ways.
Although they were bullied at different times by different people, the longer the bullying went on the more they began to take everything others did or said personally. They don't do that anymore. And they are happier, much more resilient and get on with living their own lives.
Sorry for the essay. I wasn't sure if you just wanted therapist details or an explanation of how it benefited. If you need anything more just ask.0 -
