IMHO using Expedia or Lastminute is like using a personal shopping assistant in Harrods, the more you spend the more they make, and if you have to ask the price...you cant afford it

Try https://www.holidayhotels.com although they're part of Lastminute, I've found them to have some great prices, though watch the small print, for penalties if you cancel.

Hi All, Have finally managed to book up a hotel in prague on the lastminute site - it kept saying page expired and then tellling me the room was gone! So have a booking reference etc but notice that the booking confirmation does NOT state the Number of rooms booked or the dates/duration of stay - WHICH IS RATHER WORRYING!!!

All i have from LM is a an order ref number and details of the total amount taken from my card.

So i need to cover my backside - to avoid turning up and the hotel telling me I only have a single room for one night or something. What should I do?

Has anyone used LM before ....will LM send me a breakdown of the booking? have received an e-mail but again it's just total amount and no menetion of dates or anything else.

    Many thx in advance

I'd check (and double check!) with them by phone as lastminute.com don't have a particularly good record for getting things right

Expedia is for people that have no idea how much things cost, just tell them it's a bargain or we cut prices and they are happy............try this test....with Expedia or Lastminute.........price a flight Gatwick-Malaga........350 pounds is the reply......try a low cost operator 75 pounds is the answer............Lastminute loses millions of pounds every year. Expedia is'nt much better. If you are convinced by banner headlines and wild exageration of savings then you will never be a Moneysavingexpert
If i need a flight this is what i usually do
travelocity - check the rough price see how much it is to go at that time using the date function
    Expedia - price check
    Ebookers- price check
    Opodo - price check
    Traillfinders - price check
then i do a little more hunting around on travel jungle etc
usually i find traillfinders to be cheapest and friendly :)

    To Huggins.

As I have previously stated please be careful as LM left us stranded in Stavanger with no hotel booking.
