Has anyone started using torrents or watching a lot of videos online? Potentially had your wi-fi hacked into?0

Have you changed your wifi password from the preset? My wifi was hacked due to this and I knew it wasn't us as we were on holiday. Before I realised the cause was the wifi password, BT were useless and kept saying someone in the house must be using it when only 2 of us live here! Soon as the password changed the usage went back down.0

My recommendation is, when you wake up, check your BB usage, BT updates at midnight. When you know what you are at, go about your daily routine and ask those in the house to log or remember exactly what they have done.
Check it the next day and you should be able to rule out certain activities and identify those that are causing the trouble.
Alternatively, all wireless devices leave an address when connected to your BT Home Hub. If you think someone else could have gained access, Technical Help can identify what has connected to your hub and tell you if you need to change your password or anything like that.0 -

There's specialist forums for this topic, including BT's own;
