  • Good afternoon everyone :)

Last day of half term for DH and I get a few days off too.

Gas meter is totally kaput so we now need to negotiate with British Gas over how much they are going to charge us, though I did manage to get DD reduced to previous amount while this goes on. Will check after this if there is a utilities forum where I can ask.

Pork, black pudding and lentils for dinner - some strange combinations coming up to empty freezer and store cupboard :o

Islandmaid, we need parts for our oven, bought them off ebay and found directions online for fitting them. The electrician's quote was £95 and it cost us £6.97 and a couple of hours!

Must dash so will offer well wishes for sick people and pets and hugs for those who need them or just want them. Have a super day everyone :)

Judi - Money saving Diva was one of the OS regulars, who mainly started the thread as she did not seem to sleep too well. She always posted in Purple, and never forgot anyone, often leaving a name directed message for anyone who needed one. Unfortunately she lost her battle with the big C some time ago now, but was one of those lovely people who you never forget. If I am not mistaken her friend on here, and great supporter of her in the latter stages is now going through the same battle, so (((hugs)) and positive vibes for her too.

So sad, ive missed out on such a lot since i was BG on here. :o

RIP Diva and healing vibes to her friend who is ill too.

    Afternoon all,

Just read about Diva. She was a lovely person/:A

Cat got me up at 6.30 then wouldn't eat his breakfast:mad:
Had my nails and eyebrows done this morning, first time since I broke my arm, so I am feeling much better today!:T

Got DS's godmother coming tomorrow. Last time she came, we had a great day, and that night I had my accident! We are taking her to Batemans tomorrow, which is Rudyard Kipling's old home, just up the A21. It's a fab National Trust house, I have been before, but she and OH haven't, then we will take her to lunch. Looking forward to it.

Had a pizza baguette for lunch, and have made Macaroni cheese for dinner. Haven't had that for ages!:T

    (((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to all
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Whilst dusting the windowsill in my living room i noticed a funeral director taking a body out of the residential home opposite my house. It reminded me THAT LIFE IS SHORT.

I seem to get on so late these days that I don't post as everyone will have gone to bed....however, I am still here!

Very cold here to-day, looks as if winter is coming in early....if only it were a bit brighter I could handle the cold, its just grey all the time.

Dinner to-day was pork chops with onions, mushrooms and courgettes, with steamed potatoes...was naughty and bought mince pies in Aldi, really nice.

Have made a vat of mince with veg as the gang from Cork ( 4 of them ) are coming for weekend and DS2 is already here from London so think that we will have cottage pie tomorrow for dinner....might halve it and make chilli with one half just for variety....might not.

Thinking of Diva these days too, she really is missed.

    Tru....sorry to hear about Rambo.

Going to try to get to bed a little earlier to-night as I have been burning the midnight oil lately and its catching up on me.

    Positive vibes to all jobseekers.

Hugs to all in need or want of one or two, keep warm and stay safe

    Marie
