    Morning :hello:

Rambo got worse late afternoon, wouldn't even take water and couldn't lift his head. We went straight back to the vet but there was nothing she could do, he was PTS  I knew it was coming, antibiotics usually start to work straight away on guinea pigs but it seemed to make little difference to Rambo  The vet wrapped him in a blue fleece with little clouds on, we're going to bury him next to his mum later.

Master tru seems to have decided that he doesn't need to wash up, ever. So we've collected all the dirty plates, mug etc out of his room and piled them up in an old washing up bowl. He will be confronted with it at approx. 5pm when he gets in from work.

Miss tru has applied for a job as a trainee dental nurse, it's looking promising but won't know for a couple of weeks. There was no ad, Mr tru vaguely knows the practice owners (husband and wife) so she just asked and it turns out that one of the nurses has just handed her notice in because she's moving away. She's had a chat on the phone with the wife and given them her CV. We were told the wife mentioned this chat to someone we know and she likes miss tru. Just hope they get on well when they meet properly :D

Shopping tonight, I'm hoping to keep it to about £30. But mr tru is coming so it'll probably be more *rolls eyes* lol

Morning all, dull and damp here again, pets walked and fed , now need to do some cleaning and sort washing. Nearly everything has been dried in the TD this week, I need a new airer as mine keeps collapsing.
DD is going to a local firm to find out about doing some work experience, hope she gets it, she is so bored at home. I suggested she decorate her room so she has cleared everything out and is going to start today... the rest of the house now has all her stuff all over:eek:
Hugs to all in need especially those with colds. TT I'd help him with day to day expenses but make sure it is paid back. TL hope you get some sleep later. Moorhen enjoy your walk is it just you and me on half term this week, it's going to be a long term until Xmas!!!!!! Have a good day all.:)
Sorry about poor Rambo, Tru good luck to your DD

tru sorry about Rambo, it is heartbreaking to lose a pet (((hugs))) x

    Morning all,

up bright and early i was this morning..... All bright and rested ready for the onslaught of the weekend.

Looking through my online gas/electricity billing it seems we have used 1% more gas than this time last year. However, we used 10% less electricity.:D

Although i do miss my baths i am forcing myself to shower instead. I'd like to get a reduction in the gas we use as well.... The only thing is, i like to be warm.:(

Can someone explain to me (in private if need be) who and whats happened to Diva? Are we talking Divadee here one of the board guides or am i totally off the beaten track.

Tea is simmering away as i type. Smells glorious i must say. I must remember to check on it in 20 minutes as we will be eating burnt offerings (again).

    Have a good Friday all.

Mr LW is wfh today, so I have to do dins for midday – easy one though, mushroom risotto.;)

Tru so sorry little Rambo has shuffled off to the Summerlands. Sleep well, little chap.

Flutterby good luck with the op; be a good thing to get it over and done with.

Uh, oh, time to start dins (when I said “midday” I meant exactly that, as regards time we sit down to eat) – will try to get back later.

Hi Moorhen, I cant tell you how my son is as i dont know. Unfortunately he is not answering my calls or messages. The pessimist in me thinks that now he has had the all clear from the hospital he has now got the go ahead to drink himself into oblivion. Of course i'd like to think its not the case and i'd love to be proved wrong.

    Thanks so much for asking.

Judi - Money saving Diva was one of the OS regulars, who mainly started the thread as she did not seem to sleep too well. She always posted in Purple, and never forgot anyone, often leaving a name directed message for anyone who needed one. Unfortunately she lost her battle with the big C some time ago now, but was one of those lovely people who you never forget. If I am not mistaken her friend on here, and great supporter of her in the latter stages is now going through the same battle, so (((hugs)) and positive vibes for her too.

Well after a slight shower, the sun has come out, after a rather cloudy day yesterday. Tomorrow is forecast good, but on Sunday looks like we get the tail end of your nasty weather, with winds and a max of 16C. Starting to improve by next Thursday if the forecast is correct.;)

Nothing special to report, just cooking, cleaning and walking Skye, in between the sat in the sun reading. Only highlight if you want upsetting :D Skye has won all the neighbours hearts out here, and they have treats for her whenever she sees them. Also walking is often interupted by people wanting to say hello to her (which she loves) and to know about her.

Take care all (((hugs))) all round as needed/wanted.

    Hi all,

    RIP Rambo x

Its grey and chilly here, 10 days off work (lush), woodburner,s on, dw and wm whirling away.

Have had a mad splurge on early Christmas goodies for the family, got some clothes bargins for my 3 teens, some smellies for OH, all half price, am still not sure about the cider press for OH, is it a bit of a carp przzie?? We have an apple tree and he does love cider, but not sure.... Am eating into my Christamas savings, but I guess thats what there for - oh and I did indulge in the 25% off wine offer at Mr S, but used my points and 12 mixed bottles, red, white and bubbly cost me just over £20 in cash, just got to store them away before I errm sample them......;)

My lovely big oven decided to go 'bang' - needs 2 new eliments and a new thermostat, going to cost me £130 to get fixed - trying to look at the brightside - cheaper than a new cooker....

Think we will be eating beans on toast alot in November...:D

Have a fab day and love to those not feeling it today xx
