Had a "courtesy call" from Virgin in person, even though I had cancelled

To put it briefly, I ordered Virgin BB and cancelled it the same day due to receiving an e-mail saying I couldn't get it as two others in the shared property have it. That's fine, I ordered Sky instead.
10 days into the order someone from Virgin turns up asking for me and says if I can get it will I want it, so I said yes, as it was my first choice. He's looking into creating a new address for me, or something. I gave him my number and he said he'll contact he in the next couple of days, but the problem is my 2 week cooling off period with Sky runs out Monday, what do I do if it turns out he can sort out getting my line installed with Virgin instead of Sky and then I can't cancel? Would Sky let me cancel after 15 days or something? I wasn't quick enough to ask for his details.

The reason for no answers could be that you posted at 2.04am and this one is quite late too. Try bumping it up in the daytime
My guess would be that sky will not let you cancel after the 2 weeks. Why would they want to let you off so that you could go to another company?Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0
