in Credit cards
can i do this. Stupidly i allowed my sister to get some goods from Argos on my Argos card. I am now left with the payments and want to pay it off as painlessly as possible ( don't worry learnt my lesson and wont be doing this again). The interest payments are ridiculous. I just took out a 0% credit card on purchases for 10 months. Would i be able to pay the £668 in one lump sum to my Argos card and would this be classes as a purchase to benefit from the 0% offer, or would i need to balance transfer and look for a good card to do this with. I am asking here, as when i rang my card company and asked there i got contradicting information.
any info would be helpful, thanks

You can't pay off one credit/store card with another so your first option is out. The second option is also not always possible because most companies don't let you do a BT from the Argos card due to a different number of digits and their systems can't cope with it.
The other option would've been to get a card that allows SBT (lets you transfer money from a credit card to a current account, e.g. Virgin, Egg Money) and then do a transfer to your current account and then pay off argos from your current account as a normal payment.0 -
Thank you so much, just rang Virgin, i only owed £20 on their card, and they had a 0% off on on balance transfers until feb 2008, so just had that amount transfered into my account. At least this way i wont be paying the extortionate interest on the Argos card.0
