Figure of speech?

Ok, so it's not a nice phrase, but has anyone come across 'p!ss'd on my chips'. Would you mind if someone said it about you?
I am really offended by it, but OH says it's 'just a figure of speech'. Certainly not one I've ever heard, or would use, or would want referred to as.

Is it like "p!ssed on my parade/bonfire" as in "well, thanks for p!ssing on my parade!"? If so, no, I don't find it offensive. Just a little vulgar maybe (and familiar, not something you would say to your boss or your grandma).0

Wouldn't bother me tbh. Bit crude but don't think of it literally ha ha!You're my wife now Dave.......0

I have never heard it and wouldn't have guessed what it meant. I wouldn't be offended by it, but also would think it was a bit vulgar.0

Never heard it and think it rather crude and wouldn't know what was meant.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I would assume it meant same as '!!!!!! on my parade'. Not really offended but agree it is a vulgar expression.0

Heard plenty worse than that in my time.
Wouldn't bother me in the slightest.0 -
Never heard. But it was only recently I heard "cut your cloth" for the first time...
IMO, an extreme version of rain on my parade - would prefer to hear rain on my parade

Yes, I think vulgar is the word.
My brother is coming to visit, from other side of country, and invited me and OH out for a meal. OH used this expression to a friend of his who asked if he was going out with the lads - 'i was but missus p!ss'd on my chips'.
I really took offense he would talk about me like that, especially in circumstances we have (dad ill, brother coming to visit).
He said I'm reading more into it, but don't speak in vulgar language and don't like he is referring to me that way.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

The full saying is 'cut your cloth according to your means' ie don't spend what you haven't got.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
