One bit of advice - don't expect the credit card company to make things easy. They will behave like complete idiots and pretend to be incompetent if it makes you go away. They are jointly and severally liable & you don't have to exhaust matters with the retailer first. It's your choice as to whether you approach the retailer or the credit card company for redress.

Well contrary to what seems to be the feedback on here - we had two DFS sofas for 15yrs & only sold them because we moved house and they did not fit. New ones from M&S and not patch on the old ones. The guy who bought our old ones wondered what the catch was.0
