Orange Broadband Macc Code

I think Orange are stiching me up.
I requested a MACC Code from Orange two weeks ago as I intend to change provider. Although they told me I would reecive the MACC Code within 5 days, it never arrived so I rang Orange. After 35 minutes on the phone they finally told me that there is an error on my line and the "Asset has been Seized". For some reason they didn't want to tell me what this meant but eventually told me that my new provider had taken over the line early which meant they couldn't give me the MACC Code.
Does this make sense to anyone or are Orange just trying to prolong my pain and get an extra months subscription from me?:o

If your new provider has taken over your line, you should be able to connect to them. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I also asked for my MAC on thursday night to go to BT.I still have'nt recieved the e-mail yet.I've got a feeling that im in for a bit of a wait!!.They also brought in new conditions a few months ago that stated that there is a 30 notice period to leave and they will charge for issue of your second MAC.

I also had problems gettin a MAC off Orange
I waited over two weeks when they are legally supposed to supply it in five working days
I reported them to ispa and filed an official complaint with ofcom
I have now received my MAC and a letter of apology from them
I'm now waiting for the 24th April when Be* activate my line!

I don't see how a new provider could take over your line early if you havn't had a MAC to give to anyone, Orange are well known for delaying giving out MACs even with the new rules, i also had to go to the ispa to get a MAC of this dire company but that was last year seems by many forums they are still up to the same tricks, check out OrangeProblems there is many in the same boat.
Good luck

i rang AOL for a mac code last night as i was about to switch to sky, they were quite happy to do this then after seeing i was paying £29.99 a month and the reason i was leaving was the price, they offered me £9.99 a month forever and free evening and weekend calls for 12 months which is better than i was going to get from sky! needless to say i stayed with AOL.0
