loose dog poo

Please could you tell me how you clean up when your dog has diarhoea on the garden? I have a dog with a delicate tummy who regularly has really loose poo, and 8 children living at home who obviously like to play on the garden, no matter how hard I try I can't seem to shift it all and it puts me off letting the kids play in the garden :(
Thankyou in advance :)

We use a flower pot with a bag in it (and the top of the bag over the edge of the pot) and an old garden trowel so we can just scoop it into the bag.
Pour a load of water over area.
My dog suffers like this as well.
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

I use a nappy sack over my hand and pick/scrape up. Then I swill with boiling water to clear away anything thats left.
Hubby jet washes when needed. Its awful when doggy has a upset tummy isnt it poor thing. x

Scoop what you can with a double poo bag, use kitchen towel for as much of the residue as possible then blast the remainder with the hosepipe.

Oooh I like the flower pot idea!

I had this issue yesterday, and tried to scrape up too much with the poo bag over my hand.

    Fingers straight through...

Ohhhh..it's horrible when that happens! usually with the bags from the pound shops.

I find those from B&M much stronger!

Could you maybe fence off part of the garden to keep the dog poo / kids areas separate?
  • I have been thinking for a while to have a piece of the garden just for Harley to go to the loo tyllwyd, and this weekend am going to start to try to train him to go in a certain corner, and have chosen a bit with concrete so that it will be easier to clean up, as I can just hose down what I cant pick up :) I won't feel bad when the kids are rolling around the garden then :)

My two regularly have loose bowels too. I get it up by turning the bag inside out scooping it up in my hand with the bag inbetween my hand and the poop and turn the bag back on itself if that makes sense. Hubby uses nappy sacks but i prefer to use sandwich bags - although they are usually see through they are normally a lot thicker than nappy sacks. I just tie the top and run for the antibacterial handwash.

    I hate dog poop!

If its too loose hubby usually jet blasts it. It does sod all for the garden but at least the poop is blasted into oblivion.

No kiddies play in my garden though.
