I think its John Boyle who started Direct Holidays who owns Zoom. They have done pretty well in the Canadian routes. I dont see why they cant succeed in this route.0

I've just checked out the cheapest return flights, they are coming in at around £262.25 Return from Gatwick
This includes all fee's, taxes, etc. It's £39.50 basic fair out, and £69.50 back...
The Great Declutter Challenge - £8760 -
Ryanair are to offer single flights to the US for £7 (see here for article - metro 12/04/07)
This should start in a couple of years time.
Not sure I would entrust my life to Ryanair for a whole transatlantic journey though!!!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
It looks very interesting. I have already booked flights LGW <> EWR for £440 return with Continental, but I stealed myself to check their prices. The £262 quoted is pretty much the bottom line, so if you are ok with the flight times and luggage allowance then it's a bargain. The return flight is 6am, so if you are a distance from the airport it will either mean a late night or an early start!
On my last trip my case was 50lbs on return and I doubt I will be travelling lighter this time, so I would need to use their premium service which works out at £500, so I'm not that annoyed.0 -
I see in this mornings paper that Zoom are starting flights to New York from June from £129.00. Anybody know anything about them? Apparently they fly to Canada from UK already.
Been trading a few years to Canada including some regional airports e.g. Cardiff to Toronto. Basic service but do offer an optional upgrade for better seats which you can purchase subject to availability. Friends have used them and say OK but nothing special. Pricing is based on demand and can work out more expensive than a mainstream carrier.0 -
They're also going to Bermuda. Flights start 21st June.0
