Zoom to New York!!!

I see in this mornings paper that Zoom are starting flights to New York from June from £129.00. Anybody know anything about them? Apparently they fly to Canada from UK already.

Not so sure £258 return is an absolute bargain, haven't the 'big' carriers dipped below this price with special offers in the recent past ????????

It's not £258 as the return leg is cheaper due to the lower taxes.

Should be about £100 to come back so a return should be around £229.

The point is these fare are supposedly available on 25% of ALL flights no blackout periods or seasonal variations.

    One to watch maybe.

With the level of competition on the route, the quantity of great deals available on more established airlines, I expect Zoom to end there brief trial with this route within about 3 months of starting it. They offer nothing exceptional, or headline grabbing.

If they offer a return flight to New York at £229 in June-August I'd say that's exceptional

    You obviously understood wrong.

    (Caps OFF please ;) )

The Delta offer was a time limited one due to their new route.

Supposedly Zoom's fare has no time limit.

You don't have to stay a Saturday night to get these low fares.

Actually, I was being a bit harsh - I wouldn't travel July - August anyway, and as a leisure traveller would stay a Saturday night anyway, and wouldn't pay more than £250 anyway for Virgin or BA by following these rules.

But, I will admit if they do offer those fares for 25% of all flights, on all dates a lot of you you be doing well on the. Judging by Skytrax reviews though, I would never trust them for business due to their terrible timekeeping.

And they still have to make most of their money on their fares way in excess of £250, so most people will still be paying more, so with the competition, lets see if they survive...!

My wife and I flew to Toronto with Zoom and they look after you well. the planes are a little old, but clean and referbished. The flight we went on had two / four/ two seat pattern and we oppted for the two - great choice as we were able to enjoy undidturbed. The movies were all 'new' and are only recently in the UK, Food was lovely!
    Enjoy!
