Another of my mammoth posts
I saw the doc this morning and he was good, asking if I would consider counselling, as he felt my anti-depressants were rather strong and he wouldn't like to change them. I agreed so he said he would check it out for me, as he wasn't sure if he had to refer me or if it was self referral. Secretary from surgery rang me later to give me the details as it is self-referral so I will contact them on Monday
I also told him that my arthritis in my fingers and knees had been pretty bad lately, and he checked my fingers. As ever, when I go to the doctors, the swelling and pain wasn't as bad   but he suggested another cortisone injection in the base of my middle finger, palm side, so I am going back next Tuesday for that
#
As my knees where 'ok' I didn't push him about them, but when I came out of the surgery, I walked across the town centre to get money out of my bank's atm, thinking that I might have a cup of coffee and then have a look around a few shops (poundland, 99p store :rotfl: :rotfl:) but I took a few steps away from the bank and then screamed, nearly falling over, as my left knee had gone completely. I tried to put a little weight on that leg, but it felt like 'bone-on-bone' and was agony. I was standing in the middle of the pavement, wondering how I was going to get to the shop fronts, never mind back across town to my car  Several people looked on, concerned, as I was shouting out when I tried to step forward. I managed to get next to the shop fronts and, somehow, managed to hobble back across town. One lady offered to walk with me as she thought I might stumble and fall, but I told her that I would just take my time and didn't want to keep her. I could only take 3 or 4 steps at a time, dragging my right foot up to my left, never putting my left foot forward as this meant putting weight onto it, and I couldn't straighten it as it was agony when I tried. It seemed to take forever for me to get back to the car, but I realised that I could not drive, so carried on to the surgery, which is a big Georgian building, with 3 high stone steps up to the entrance  I only got up those steps by taking my weight on the handrails at each side and 'jumping' on my right leg. When I got inside, I realised that I could not get to reception, as that was down about 8 steps, but my doctor's room was just inside the door, so I sat outside and when he came out to get something I asked if I could see him after he dealt with current patient. When I got in to see him, the pain was easing slightly and I could almost straighten my knee. After examining me, doc suggested anti-inflammatories, which I don't usually have as they upset my asthma, but I felt it worth trying. He said that the ligaments around my knee were 'all messed up' but that the anti-inflamms should do the trick within a few days, but to rest my leg for now. He also gave me something for my stomach as the anti-inflamms would probably upset my stomach. I felt so stupid by this time, as I could almost stand and walk properly, but could feel that one wrong move and it would go again. It was ok driving hom though and I am hoping the meds do the trick
Pretty eventful day
So pleased the doctor listened and that you will get counselling:)

Hope things look brighter for you soonSmileand hopefully the world will smile back

Great song, annie looks pregnant in this video:)

Another classic  I do love a bit of Annie
But now I'm away on a trip down memory lane watching Placebo videos again. Just discovered a new video, so was having a wee look on the website and then spotted a couple of tshirts/hoodies that I really like, but the question is am I now too old to be wearing band tshirts?! :rotfl:...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

What a time of it you're having again too,
:(:(
I always find that a cortisone injection in a joint helps others too, so hopefully after you've had your finger done on Tues. you will feel the relief in your knee. The anti iflammatories should help also, but they can take a little while to kick in, so take it easy 3Dogs.
You may find elevating it helps, but most importantly, rest it when it's painful. I totally sympathsise with the injection you have to have. I find fingers one of the most painful, but the result is always worth it.
Take care of yourself 3Dogs. :A:A xx
Into the bottom of your heel is pretty painful too   for heel spurs, or into wrist   for carpel tunnel, or into point of elbow   or into boney part of shoulder joint
I find that whichever you are getting at the time is the most painful:rotfl: :rotfl: but yes, they do work, for a while :j

To be honest I'd much favour an LED over an LCD, and the LED is 100hz, (better for when I'm watching the rugby!!)Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -

Its funny though, well not really funny:o but each time I've had them I've held out so long with something hurting that I don't care if it hurts when they do it, because you know you'll get some relief from it:)Although I admit to holding out to the one in my knee and not had it yet,cos I'm a scaredy cat:oBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
