Morning everyone - just caught up.

Thanks Banana babe for the comp link - no win but in the draw.

ss3n08 - Thanks for trying re the chocs and M shop.

Hugs to all who need them - especially the Mums of sick little ones!

Well off to find some batteries for this damn mouse before I do the quiz - I'm slow enough without having to press the reset button every 10 secconds:eek: Wish I could replace my batteries!

House is a mess but I am doing a Scarlet O'Hara think about it tomorrow . So I think bath, make soup and start to plan for the Xmas Elves coming - Yr 4 of tradition this year (they no longer believe in Santa but now desperate for the elves to visit and I am keeping them in suspense). So the plus this year is normally I have a list of things I would like to do but actutally decide the night before which one (usually very late at night whilst OH snoring). So the silver lining in my current cloud is I can sit and plan it leisurely and comfortably now (shuts eyes to mess).

When Dad cam to visit (78) to help pick up kids last month I made him promise to go to docs, kept saying he was having problems with piles and lose movements (but doc had said he had diverticulatus which can cause runs). However he hadn't gone back so I nagged him - thank god for the publicity campaign - anything over 3 weeks isn't right and get it checked. Don't know why my mother didn't do it though - she just nags about other things poor b**ger. After tests and biopsy just found out he has colon cancer - so way things are going we are probably going to have radiotherapy at the same time albeit 100 miles apart (him Chrisity's me Jimmys). Then he'll have op and he says they are 66% certain he doesn't need chemo ....hummmm after them telling me I didn't need chemo then changing their mind after a week (same pathology report) I am taking that with a pinch of salt - hopefully with his age they'll err on the side of caution. Very strange year ............... Thinks of Dream.."Things can only get better ........"....

Edit - forgot to say our parents used to check our toilet habits - but now folks we need to check our (elderly parents) habits - they don't want to bother the doc or forget how long its been going on. Akindly word helps them take stock - HTH someone.

Sains are selling Jack Daniels 700ml for £15

A currently selling for £18. With APG wouldn't that make it £13.50?
Seems a pretty good price to me and would make good pressie
