I agree. I thank helpful, funny posts or use thanks to bookmark where I got to. I certainly don't thank every post. Sometimes I hit "thanks" sometimes I just say it

I just find it strange that someone who thinks the thanks button is so wonderful a tool and not to be abused by anyone has used it only 35 times in 6 years. It's just as easy to take a pop at someone for under-use as it is over-use.

I'll leave it at that though. I wouldn't even consider asking the mods to investigate this behaviour as that would be taking things a bit far IMHO
