Will catch up in a few mins..... but went to mr t's about 9.30 and wine shelves being restocked..... no Ogio white, but a shelf full of melot.... YAY thinks me.
    Toodles off to SS with 6 of those 4 x 4babysham and 2 x 4Snowball.

First thing I scan is a merlot bottle, but wouldn't register as being bagged.... over trots a relatively nice trout, who presses a button and gets up a message saying 'withdrawn from sale':eek::eek: (how dare they, just as I find some!)
Anyway, she turns to passing supervisor and says with back turned to me 'Is this the one that was in the papers?' Followed by a whispered conflab.....
Anyway, me, who is pretty good at playing dumb says 'Is there a problem with it?' :o
Reply - 'I think this was the one in the paper, people were getting it cheap with the 25% off and it was going through at £2 something a bottle.
Had to bite my lip at this point to not say out loud.... 'Actually, it was £1.50' :D;) But I held my tongue and just said, 'Oh, I don't read newspapers (true! just mse :rotfl:) but I thought it was a good deal at 3 for £12 as I wanted it for a party! They tried to get me to go back and choose something else, but I said it's ok, i'll settle for these just now. I then scanned one babysham and got her to confirm I AM over 18 before getting to the end of transaction, and while she was busy putting my wine back I got my 24 bottles for a little over £9..... so happy with that for now. :D

Whether or not people thank posts is neither here nor there. I often forget to thank as I often include it in my post. Let's keep the thread happy as we are in the middle of a glitch fest so need to pull together to get the best from it. Just replying to the discussion about thanks not taking a pop at you AAU1!

  • Good morning

Just picked up a few dishwasher tablets, from my local express.

About to take dog for a walk then it's back to Mr T's, for some more wine, it's great that they are accepting the sada £5 off a £40 shop, with all my other vouchers actual spend £21. Love it.
