On average it is 40 lessons which are on average £20 each
Theory test £31
Practical test £62 (day) £75 (eve&weekend)
Depends if they pass first time but you are looking around £1000.
Then when they have a car
Average costs
Car insurance £3500 p.y
2 tank fuel pm £100 = £1200
Car tax £100
MOT £40
Breakdown cover £40
Service £60
Couple of tyres £60
So around £5k to run the car in the first year which is £416 p.m:eek::eek:
Obviously these are only averages and some will be considerably less and others more;)
Thanks for that. It's shocking when you see it written down isn't it!0 -

I only asked that question, incidentally, because i know of a lady who only buys 3 items on a tesco shop and always gets PP's. So sometimes, its good to do a collective.. and throw it out there.. incase the system has changed... which it inevitably does.. often.
I was talking about bag re-use counting as your 8th item. something I harp on about time and again (as much as I say "read post 1")
If you "know of a lady" maybe you could ask her what three items she buys and share that with us because it's news to me and I'm sure many would put it to the test
As for singling this out amongst millions of other questions.....I singled it out because it was covered in post 1. (at least in part as I was pointing to the confirmation of.a 7 item shop working)
Why would I single out questions not covered in post 1 with a "read post 1" reply????
And what has fb got to do with any of this exactly?Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

They're on my list for next week but as I only do online shopping I wasn't sure there'd be a fixed amount you could buy. I was trying to get the more expensive things out of the rode before getting the little stuff. Many a mickle makes a muckle.0 -

I can't find the ones you mention on adsa.com or msm. That's probably why it's not showing on the apg.

Popping in briefly to say :hi:
Hope everyone is well, a better day for me today, went to sada with mam & DD. Found reloaded (Finally!) and used colgate and apg with no probsno wombles but then that store's always spotless
DD got a bit upset at the till because she wanted the shiny spider decorations hanging above :rotfl: Mam gave her a toy fake spider about a week ago, thinking it'd scare her but she put him on her bed and said 'goodnight incy wincy' :rotfl: love her :grinheart:kisses3:
I got a colgate max white toothbrush with the coupon which I thought was excellent value as it's currently on special for £1 so only 25p to pay
I also went into superdrug and got 6 x Kleenex Balsam Multipacks (8 pocket packs) for free, had to buy sugar as the coupons took the till to negative 3p but they have an offer on atm, £1.39 each or 2 for £1.99. I used the coupons from the huggies newborn starter kit sleeve; we're making nice baby hampers very cheaply by using the coupons; great if you know someone expecting or with a newborn
Hugs to all, hope ye had a great shopping/family/duvet day xMay: Make £5 a day £115.38 / £155
5p Jersey Money :rotfl: Roadkill: 4p :rotfl: eBay: £15.46 PayPalFB Sales: £27

 ......... just off to get my thesaurus
Speaking of car costs, when selling my last car we looked up a website that would apparently buy any car and got, lets call it a modest offer.
So we did what we did 6 years ago and asked if any friends/ realtives wanted a car for that price (a few hundred quid) and I ended up selling it to a workmate who hadn't had a car for years and was missing the convenience. He got a really good deal, I didn't have to pay the website any money and everybody's happy. I'd recommend it to all MSEers - if you're offered a small sum for a part-exchange give someone else a chance to get at least the same deal off you.
