I wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry. At times like these, I do like to believe that karma will have it's say one day.

Unfortunately these situations are all too common amongst families. I dread the time that I have to deal with this as my siblings and I couldn't be more different, needless to say we never speak.

At least you should be able to take comfort from the fact that you are doing your best for your mum, at that you have her best interests at heart. (I think continuing with the power of attorny is a very good idea. Your brothers and sisters don't need to know, only your mum has to agree.) I'd also suggest sooner rather than later, we had a problem in our family because we left it too late and then the person in question wasn't deemed of sound enough mind. (I'm not for one minute suggesting that your mum will go the same way, but we never know what's around the corner.)

Take care of yourself Rose. :A:A:A

Yes I believe what comes around goes around aswell. I am going to download the papers for the Power of Attorney and discuss it with Mum quietly next week. It appears you can do it easily online if you just read it all through. I just called her as I suggested a trip to Tesco today but she said she thinks it is too cold. So do I but if I promised her a trip out I would not go back on my word. I will go later with OH when he calls me as he will drive in exchange for a few vouchered goodies. Thank God I have my 2 children, my Aunt and my OH ( even though we are living apart) to support me. My Aunt said I should tell them all to XXXX off. My daughter said why when we finally have some chance of a normal family life ( after alcohol ruled our life for so long- OH sober nearly 5 years now) do my family think it is ok to cause me all this grief.
Anyway just printed some Reloaded , got my Kleenex vouchers in post this morning so time to make a list for later.
Watching Simply Red on Sky Arts and cleaning so nice and calm now. Till someone calls me!!!

I would go and scan a tin in Tosco if I were you, because I bought one the other day and it scanned at £5 (even though the SEL was £12). Dont know what it is showing at on MSM as I cant get the site to search for me.

I waited for one the other week, and it turned up after 8 days, so hopefully it will turn up eventually.
