Do I need a new browser - if so, which?

IE is awful as a browser for the general layman. There is no need to use it when there are so many faster, more convenient alternatives.
I do tend to use it however for various programming tasks and many CMS's for example will work best on IE.
Whichever browser you choose to use as default (just install a few and see what you like best) always have the latest version of IE installed as you need this for Windows updates (presuming you are using Windows)0
