For the last couple of days I have been getting this message:-
You are using a version of Internet Explorer which will soon be unsupported.
I think I upgraded to a new version some time back but found problems so changed back to the previous version.
I know there are other options out there but don't know which is considered best.
Is it easy to change and is it likely to affect the way I receive my Virgin emails on Windows Live?
Thanks

Firefox here or Opera here are usually considered to be the best browsers. Some like Chrome but it still hasn't implemented Do Not Track privacy protection, which virtually every other browser has - wonder why!
Using another better browser is very easy and it will not affect the way that you receive your Virgin emails on Windows Live? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Hi, I use several different browsers depending on what I need at the time.
As mentioned Chrome, Opera and Firefox are all good browsers.
You could even try Comodo's versions which are Comodo Dragon and Comodo Icedragon.
I think the only downside is that to run windows updates you do need a working version of Internet Explorer.
Judt run then all alongside each other, and pick one as your default.0 -
i had the same problem and very sloooowww running. A few weeks ago i changed to Chrome and so far i've been happy with it.0

i've had IE and Firefox but now running CHROME amazing! very clean and simple, fast too! No crap cluttering it up with adverts thoroughly recommend.
Not sure what earlier post meant with regards to private browsing, there is an 'incognito window' which allows for private browsing (buying present for the Mrs, !!!!!! etc.) .
Try it0 -
apologies just googled 'do not track' got completely wrong end of stick there.0

Nothing wrong with Internet Explorer but it's handy to have a spare browser like Firefox or Pale MoonI think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0

Thank you everyone, that's all very useful. I've decided to give Chrome a try initially and I'll see how I get on with it.
Comments were much appreciated.0 -
Do you happen to have an Android (ICS+) or iPhone? If so, get Chrome installed on that as well, the sync feature is brilliant.0
