thanks, i am still not sure which one to choose.
i don't know that much about financial markets either, so may choose the service that is more happy with me to phone them and ask them questions0 -
I have found Hargreaves Lansdown's service generally better than Selftrade's. Crucially, at a time of great market volatility, I was able to trade in my HL account, where Selftrade were uncontactable both by phone and online.
