More good news not Thursday's GDP figure

I think this Government now officially has The Whiff about it. If Tory newspapers are going to write that the phrase 'more good news' means Cameron is guilty of breaking the law then the next Government will be Labour, pretty much whatever happens.0

I think as punishment for implying good news, David Cameron should be forced to declare a recession for a further 2 quarters regardless of the actual statistics. That should keep the socialists and general doom-mongers happy for another 6 months.0

0.4%.
Can't be too optimistic now can I!0 -
I just want it to be positive so I can get the date in my diary for the announcement of the triple dip and make sure I'm here. I'll bring some nibbles.
Today's figure 0.5% or so. There'll be some excitement for headline writers but that's about it.0 -
Triple dip. Because this double dip recession has been just awful it? Who cares?0

The govt sends its agents onto Internet fora to start threads such as these. The agent then gathers the data, eliminates the top and bottom guesses and averages the rest. Then the next day the result is published as the official estimate.
Didn't you forget the bit about how some of us deliberately give false estimates, using random figures [gleaned from Barclays Libor Data] so that the end figure is distorted?0 -

The next government may well be Labour, whatever. Much of modern Britain can't resist the lure of the promise of an easy way out. Labour routinely promises that, and then doesn't deliver it. But let's not allow the lessons of experience to get in the way of an emotive gut-reaction.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

So why didn't they re-elect Labour last time?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

There's more to UK tourism than London.
