TAKE SCOTTISH POWER to OMBUDSMAN...join me to make a collective complain

Hi,

I am fed up of scottish power boiler cover, took premium home insurance, have been contacting them for past 2 months to get boiler service done, each time they tell me someone will call me no-one calls.

gone till CEO but not sorted.

I want to take them to Ombudsman but not alone I am sure there are many many many frustrated customers of Scottish Power home insurance and if we collectively put our complain I am sure Scottish power can be penalised.

It is not just during elections we can voice our power if we all complain together we can voice our concerns.

I cannot ask for your personal details or anything else due to data protection but want to make an Ombudsman complain which you all can attach your issue to as well to show how many customers are suffering because of them.

MSE admin/rep is there something which you can help us to collectively go & complain

inkypinky999 I am so sorry to hear you have been having problems getting this sorted out. If you e-mail onlinecomplaints@scottishpower.com I can look into it for you. The Energy Ombudsman only considers individual complaints and complaints about boiler cover are outside of its Terms of Reference as it's an Energy Service. Thanks David @ ScottishPower

I'm afraid the Energy Ombudsman only gets involved with complaints about the Gas & Elec you purchase from your supplier, and does not get involved in maintenance contracts which you can buy from several sources including your Gas/Elec supplier.

That said, BG have been very cavalier with your time so ask them to compensate you.

think you need to get your info straight first, otherwise you will be laughed to the bin
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

From what I can see, this product is not actually insurance. If it was, it would come under the voluntary or compulsory jurisdiction of the Financial Ombudsman.
  • this is boiler insurance and they provide a yearly service as part of that isn't that covered in ombudsman
  • @chanz4 i came here for advice...if i don't ask i will not get my facts correct...you could have given proper info instead of being a sarcastic here...if you can't help keep your hands off your keyboard mate!

If you mean the Scottish Power HomeComfort Premium Care , then that does not appear to be insurance but rather a maintenance and repair service agreement for your central heating system.

  • thanks all for your help...i contacted CEO and copied in watchdog..got call from their rep yesterday and have got a booking date for service..will let you know how it goes if they keep the date or not...

Whilst I too was dubious of the Ombudsman taking on a jopint complaint as you appear to have found out already the likes of Which or Watchdog would - and arguably the threat of negative publicity on a large scale is far quicker to take effect.

Good luck with getting the repair sorted (personally I'd find someone more reliable thereafter / asap)
