Main dealer rip off?

Why not get the prinout (see below) from the garage and compare it to the printout from the dealer. You may also want to be armed with the correct fgures from the manufacturer, or a owners forum for your make and model.

Kwik Sh-it did that to mine. Wonky steering wheel and slight pulling on the steering. Drove round like that for a year until I got a nail in the tyre. Took it to Formula one autocentres for a tyre repair a few weeks ago and ever since it has been steering so much better as they bothered taking their time and doing it properly.
I was sceptical about Formula one autocentre before I went there but from my first experience of them they are way ahead of Kwik Sh-it in the ability league.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -
If there's no sign of abnormal wear on the tyres I'd ask them why they think the tracking is " totally out ".
It's only been 7 days since it was done at the tyre and exhaust place. Unless it was really badly out, in which case I would be fighting with the steering wheel all the time, there wouldn't be an visible wear at this stage.
I assume their equipment ought to be telling them? But if this is the case then it could be wrong so they ought to be checking it. Unless they need to boost the Christmas party fund of course...Kevan - a disabled old so and so who, despite being in pain 24/7 still manages to smile as much as possible

There would be no wear on the new tyres but there could be wear on the two that were not replaced that was caused by the tracking being out.
When mine has been to the main dealer for a service the report sheet has the tread depth of all the tyres at edge centre edge they could have checked your tyres and decided the wear pattern indicated the tracking was out.0 -
I had the same problem as well (also told my tyres needed replacing). I contacted Hometyre and ordered the tyres, they came along and told me that the tracking was fine and I did not need tyres either. enev showed me (had 5mm on all the tyres and they said the legal is 1.6mm. Nice to find somebody who has some morals, gave the guy a tip for being honest. There website is hometyre.co.uk if you want to look them up or you can use the freephone number 0800 783 93 10.0

Hello Dave- still spamming I see.

Name the dealer - also did you receive a follow up customer satisfaction questionnaire or did the dealer opt you out of receiving that for your convenience...
The garage concerned was Dees ford in Croydon.
I opted out of receiving any correspondance (e-mail, phonecalls & SMS) from Ford as after I purchased the car I was plagued by text messages thanking me for the purchase and reminding me that I hadn't taken out their service plan.0 -

It would help if you didn't quote the spam in full, making it somewhat pointless to get his message pulled. What goes around - comes around0 -
Spam, it's great fishing bait but erm... nothing to do with nearly getting ripped off at a car main dealers

Unfortunately when you have Dave on here pretending to recommend a tyre company, when in actual fact he is the company and is trying to tout for business it is what is known on internet forums as spam. Again you can see this for your self at the bottom of each post there is a button to report this to the forum team it is the "spam" button, if you are unsure there is even a picture of "spam" to help you.
Happy to point this out to you.;)0
