Hi KolaKube, just caught up on your diary, great news about the babba and the house:)
Re: Swagbucks, i gave up, lots of effort and never seemed to get anywhere with them, i do however love my survey sites, if you want to join IPSOS and valued opinions give me a PM and i'll refer you. Also Onepoll is good, and i've just joined crowdology this morning, so not sure how good they are yet but might be worth a look. Also Topcashback often pays more cashback than quidco, although it doesn't offer the mobile checkin, so if you want to join it then also let me know and i can earn from referring you:)

I have been having a play with the overpayment calculator again (just can't help myself!)..
I know we'd absolutely struggle to OP £500 a month but if we did every single month we could clear the place in 6.5 years. Argh I want to start OPing right now lol!
I have found an even more random way to waste time with the calculator! You find the cheapest flat in your area that isn't in a total slum and then figure out how quickly you could pay it off as a BTL :rotfl:
Don't get me wrong - I have absolutely no interest in BTL - but it's an interesting mathematical exercise0 -

Ecoelle - I'm starting to wonder if any of the survey sites etc are worth it! Gonna keep going with swagbucks for now to see how I get on this month and will reassess the situation again after that.
We stayed at my folks over the weekend which was nice as we hadn't seen them in a while and we were able to toast ourselves by the wood burning stove for 2 straight days lol. All my shredding has been burnt, mum was very impressed by how much heat a bag of old letters can give off :rotfl:
They have offered us a really good king size bed for the new place as they're looking to turn one of their bedrooms into a den, so that will save a little move in money!
OH struggling a little - as I get bigger apparently I am not only taking up more of the bed, but also snoring a lot more - feel sorry for the poor fella getting up to commute after that.
His car is in getting a pre-MOT check today so I shall go and pick it up later - not sure how much it will be, our mechanic is a little slow at producing the bill, which I find quite frustrating...
Right, off to put another coat of paint on my 'furniture restoration project' (aka the chest of drawers I found lying outside lol) - the paint did cost quite a bit for 2 small tins (£24 ) but plenty of primer and top coat left for other projects, and OH has been very supportive of my new hobby looking in 2nd hand furniture shops for nice old bits to shabby chic, so I'm on cloud 9 lol.

Lol my mum did produce a few dodgy celtic knot stencils from her drawer but I subtly slipped them back in :P Just painting it an off white and adding nautical themed handles as we're going for a (tasteful!) sea theme in mini-Kubes room. Very exciting!

Hi all!
Going to try to have a NSD today if at all possible! I do need to go buy the ingredients for mum and my annual christmas cake production evening but if I can I'll hold off that until tomorrow.
Ordered some lovely new bedding from MrT with clubcard vouchers, so got to go pick that up this evening from the direct desk... will *not* otherwise wander into the supermarket lol.
Checked the bank account this morning and it's not looking too healthystill no refund from groupon  I will definitely not be using them again.
In positive news, mortgage all applied for and just waiting for some word back from NW / the lawyer.
Have kept going with swagbucks and on for my first £5 amazon voucher today / tomorrow, so that's not too bad as I've been signed up 5 days. Have sussed it out a bit better now so finding it a bit less tedious! Hoping to build up a few amazon vouchers towards kitting the new house out
mini-Kube is having a good old kick to himself this morning lol, must have been the coffee...
Have a good day everyone!

Lol @ your OH and your sleeping habits. We aren't doing too badly but in the heat of the summer I could only get comfortable with a pillow on either side and one between my legs. OH gave up on the bed and found the floor and couch to be preferable. Thank god I wasn't heavily pregnant in the summer, would have been utterly unbearable, never been so hot as I am at the moment and found mid-pregnancy very uncomfortable in the heat. I'm very glad of the cold at the moment, plus my in built central heating system is keeping the gas bill down
I might have to join Swagbucks I love Amazon vouchers!0
