Great news, congratulations :j.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Morning all!
After yesterdays excitement, feeling very focussed today!
I've signed up to swagbucks seeing as everyone is raving about it to try to earn us a few amazon vouchers towards kitting the place out lol.
SIL brought over £30 we were owed last night so I've slipped that into OHs wallet in a bid to minimise bank withdrawals / he can use it towards petrol.
Still waiting on my groupon refund
Things I need to do today -
1) earn some swagbucks!
2) shop around for B&C insurance as NW quoting £586 for their 'gold' cover
3) make a nice home made meal for tea
4) get on with the stripey nautical blanket I'm crocheting for mini-Kube
And most importantly... have a NSD! Lolxx

Thanks guys!
We're over the moon, but trying to remain only cautiously excited until contracts are signed lol.
Managed to get a much more affordable B&C insurance quote of £277 with perfectly adequate cover so we'll bear that one in mind.
The whole swagbucks thing seems a little frustrating watching lots of little videos but will persevere to see how we get on lol, I'm sure it all adds up.

How long do you have to go back to work after you have had the baby so that your maternity isn't affected? Can you do that for just those few months then re-consider? Also does your workplace offer flexible hours or anything to make it easier to go back after you've had the baby?
Great news about the mortgage hope it all goes smoothly for you0 -

3 months ammonite - with yesterdays offer being accepted I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I shall be going back (we will need the money!). I am going to ask to go part time but there's no guarantee they will honour it. I work a 1 in 8 on-call rota so lots of nights and weekends / evening shifts on top of my normal day job. They could send me to any one of their buildings within a 2 county area though so I'm a little worried I may end up with a 2 hour commute in the opposite direction from OH / living away from my baby, which would not be acceptableMFW Sept 2013 Starting balance: £101160.59 25 years

Fab news on the house -to-be!
good bargains with the clubcard vouchers too - if my freezer wasnt chocca I might do the same! :rotfl:0 -
Lol Deleted_User our freezer now only just about shuts, so I won't be buying any more for a good while lol!
We went to visit OH folks last night to get out of the house for a bit, which was nice. I stuck to cups of tea and I was very proud of OH who fancied buying a box of beer but offered to stick to drinking some of the things we already had in the house (namely some magners we were given a while back which he doesn't really like and are lurking in the cupboard waiting for mini-Kube to arrive lol) - so because he's being so good this month I brought out one of the secret bottles of Morgans Spiced rum I had stashed away for xmas as a treat for him. He works hard and travels far for his work, so deserves a wee treat to keep morale up through this extra tight month lolAnd he left me enough to do my xmas cakes with so I was doubly impressed lol. AND he suggested we stop for takeaway on the way home and then retracted the suggestion saying we had enough in to eat so I was TRIPLY impressed :j Love my little OH he's an angel :A
Today I'm letting him have a lie in, and then I think we'll be going up to my folks house as they come back from holidays today, and we can use their garage to get on with our furniture transformation lol.
Leftover spag bol for tea, yum yum.
Have a nice saturday everyone! xxMFW Sept 2013 Starting balance: £101160.59 25 years

Hiya pavlovs_dog, thanks for popping in!
I have been having a play with the overpayment calculator again (just can't help myself!)..
I know we'd absolutely struggle to OP £500 a month but if we did every single month we could clear the place in 6.5 years. Argh I want to start OPing right now lol!
