Unlocking void warranty?

Hi all,

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE, only had it a few weeks.

I'm planning to go to Italy on the weekend for a week, as well as numerous times at least once a month for the next 12 months and I would like internet.

Before I used Vodafone £3 a day deal, now with T-Mobile I'm offered something like 50mb for 10 quid, ridiculous!

So I am thinking of unlocking my phone (using a code from ebay with my IMEI etc) and putting in an Italian sim... however is this likely to void my warranty?

Note this is unlocking putting in a code, NOT rooting it or unlocking it any other way, therefore I can't see how this should void the warranty, despite what T Mobile say!

Advice please! :)
