Have 2006 plate ICTDI Diesel 2.2 and I find it great, good mileage and reliable.

But its a SOFT roader so do not take it into muddy fields but good for getting through the flooded roads/Snow with correct tyres.

High visability, Reasonable milage, cheap to maintan/run. Crap center fold down consule and the inbuilt satnav is not worth the extra money faulty dated and useless! Picnic table in boot but no chairs? LOL:) side wing electric mirrors problems

Would I buy again? Perhaps! but would be looking at Toyota? but I like the look of spare wheel on back tailgate and all newer cars are looking too sleek and look like people carriers? :o

  • We just sold our 2005 petrol SE.
Loved it, never had a single problem, petrol was a bit heavy (24-28mpg daily 32-34mpg long motorway drives)
As Hasbeen said, its not a true off roader, but great in teh rain/snow, and if you are not trying to do anything stupid, quite ok crossing fields and shallow streams.
Swapped it for an 08 Kia Sportage, which is just as good, though not quite a well built/solid as the Honda.

Yes I do realise these are primarily FWD vehicles that only engage the rear wheels when there is slipping on the front wheels.

So how did you guys find the CRV for motorway driving? Did you have any issues with excessive road noise coming into the cabin?
