HH Don't forget your previous Occy Health report & what it says you need ;)
JackieO My DS2 met him a couple of years ago & lent him a pen to sign the book I later received as a Christmas present! He also said he was a lovely chap.
LW May the rheumy nurse be struck off for suggesting such a heartless thing! Of course you should be having a full "adult" life ;), isn't that what you both are?!

A man in the house! hello everyone!

İ have been very busy over the past 6 months because my wife and i have bought our business partner out and there has been a lot of rebuilding! The bank balance is depleted but the business is in good shape and our income is secure.
i stopped drinking back in May and my general health has improved but i have to go back sometime for new blood tests.--the last set revealed my cholesteral levels were dangerously high and my liver function tests were bad! hence the giving up of alcohol!--i am hoping the liver has rejuvinated itself which will have a positive affect on my cholesteral levels.
anyway hugs to you all G
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.

Managed to get here a little earlier today. I don't know how you all manage to play on here in the mornings. And by the time I surface you all seem to have done a day's work. I have this vision of you all busying yourselves around with WMs and BMs and DWs humming away while you Flylady your houses with enthusiasm before rushing off to work. Please tell me I'm wrong, I feel inferior enough already.

My working day so far has been.
Oversleep. Shower in double quick time. Rush downstairs and swallow a piece of toast and have a swift injection of caffeine. Throw the church teatowels into the WM. Run out to the car where the Rev is waiting - impatiently. Off to my patchwork class where I discover that I have left half my material behind so have to do Tumbling Blocks while the others finish the Ohio Stars we started last week.
Run back to the car where the Rev is waiting again, her meeting having only just finished (Phew!). Arrive home. Sling potatoes in oven, defrost batch of cooked mince. Answer phone(twice) and door(once).
Devour potatoes and mince while catching up on Neighbours. Entertain lovely man while he services the alarm. Answer phone (once) and door (3 times). Remember WM and drape washing over backs of chairs, (not wasting TD on Church teatowels), switch on computer, "Yahoo not responding".:mad::mad::mad::mad: Swear. Shuffle papers about. Computer suddenly coughs into life. YAY. and here I am.

I think I'll fall on my sword.

HH: So you should tell 'them' what is wrong. If nothing happens to put things right you have every reason to throw a hissy fit. 'They' are asking you to do the impossible.

Judi: I went to my first school reunion some years ago. Just our year, to celebrate 50 since we all left school. I must admit that I walked apprehensively into the room and immediately thought, "Who are all these old women?" It was very interesting that the high flyers at school had done nothing particularly impressive with their lives, whereas those who were nothing special had done all sorts of interesting things. One of my friends, who didn't seem to have a thought in her head apart from dances and boys, has been High Sheriff and Mayor of the city. All goes to show..........

Promise I'll go back to posting late at night when I'm too tired to write much.:D

monnagran - :rotfl:. I think a few of us OSers are morning people, hence getting more done then. I know that i am shattered after work most days so prefer to do my chores first thing!

Beautiful day here :). Work kids in all day, we did lots of education work so as a treat I took them to the beach for an hour at the end of the day :D. We went for a paddle, and the sea was surprisingly warm. But 4 of the boys stripped off to thier underwear and went swimming  it definitely wasn't warm enough for that!! I had to shout at them from behind my hands as I didn't want to see them in their pants :rotfl:. They enjoyed though! As it was so lovely when I got home I went for a walk around the lake too.

Bit of sad news in the family, my great aunt has passed away. TBH I only met her once, she lived in Australia, so I'm not affected. But my nan is understandably upset. Luckily she managed to go out for a visit last year so has some recent happy memories.

My DVD player started skipping discs this week so rung Tesco to complain as it's only 8mths old. They told me to take it back to store to swap for new one, which I did, and I even got £1.97 back as it had gone down in price! :D New DVD player is already plugged in.

OS wise - HM celery soup from freezer for lunch, stirfry for tea made with the sad veg in the fridge, should wash dishes but may leave for tomorrow :o

    Have a nice evening all

    Evening everyone

I am definately a night owl and not a morning person at all. As you may be able to tell from my posts. I think all you morning people may be fast asleep now.

os today - sorted out some dry washing. Nothing else as dh was on holiday and I was working. Although I did walk the dog this morning.

DS1 had a chat with my dh, admitted he is addicted to gambling and that he had blown his weeks wages today in bandit machines. I am shocked but at least he has realised he has a problem. I have taken his bank card from him for the time being, will need to sort out his money and think possibly give him so much a day for college, lunch etc. Think he possibly needs other support so I am hoping to try and get him to a GA meeting nearby soon. I had a bit of a suspicion that he gambled occasionally like football bets but nothing on this scale. I have cut up his cards for the casino etc so he cant go there. Not sure what else to do at the moment.

Anyway enough of my problems, just needed to get it out of my head I think.

Beemuzed ((hugs)) and positive vibes to you and your dh.
Cat - hope your dh is okay.
    LW ((hugs))
BB - glad maud is getting better.
    Bitsy - hope your ok
Judi - Glad you had a nice break, hope your ds is ok.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care
