That Vaillant boiler has plastic dials which control the hot water and CH temperature but they tend to break off quite easily if turned quickly. I have seen a few people have the problem. Not expensive to replace but a nuisance.
I've had my Vaillant boiler for over 2 years and have never had to adjust the dials. Surely the fact that they are under a cover means that they're not meant to be constantly fiddled with? The man without a signature.0 -
Yes, I have a Vaillant Eco Tec Boiler (System Condensing set-up) and have never needes to touch the dials:D.
Seems to be fine after 5 years"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0 -
A.Penny.Saved wrote: »I think that you should check again because your statement is incorrect. The Vaillant Ecotec Plus 824 does have dials. By dials I mean largish dial wheels that can be turned to adjust the temperature. I did state that they turned so it shouldn't take a genius to work out what I meant.
There is also a water pressure readout display which might also be described as a dial.
Unless of course all the ones I've fitted had bits missing!0 -

I have an Alpha boiler, and since it was installed 2 years ago I have had nothing but trouble.. The money I have spent on plumbers is now getting to be a joke.
I went to a quotation company called Quotes to compare. These guys give you 3 quotes from only your local area and have found them really competitive. I was wondering if anyone knew if Baxi was a good make?0
