  • What does your latest statement say? Balance, limit and minimum payment, and payment date?

So long as you pay the minimum payment by the due date you have fulfilled your obligation to them.

I can only think that you have gone over your credit limit and they want the money to bring balance under the limit.

You need them to clarify why they are asking for £62. Check your online statement and recent transactions. You're probably overlimit.

Don't look at your stastement. Look at your current balance.
  • Current balance £450 and credit limit is £500
  • Phone them up hopefully you won't get the same 'very rude lady' Ask for clarification.
  • "Next statement date20 Nov 12Payment due date15 Nov 12Minimum payment£33.11 "

By the looks of it, your next payment due date is before the statement date.

Are you sure your payment from around the 15th (ish) of this month came out OK?

When does it say your last payment was made?
    From £8,800 to £2,200 in 2 years.

Nearly there, just the 0% credit card to go!

I'd guess that Vanquis thinks you've missed your last payment.

How did you pay the last statement? Direct debit or debit card? If I were you I'd check with my bank that the transaction went through and wasn't reversed from some reason.

Hmmm, quite close to your limit. Could there be any transactions not included in that total? A recent purchase, perhaps?

Vanquis' is a bit sluggish at updating transaction details online. What does it say under "Available to spend?". £50?
  • did you also know that Vanquis dont let you set a direct debit amount? You have to either pay in full or pay minimum payment. Is this illegal?
