Snowy screen on my phone.

I have had my phone for around two months, everything was fine up until this morning, the phone has what I can only describe as a snowy distorted screen (looks a bit like a snowy TV screen when you have no channels) its a nokia N8 if it makes a difference.
If I press the menu key it beeps but nothing happens, I tired a hard reset and the phone just restarted with the snowy screen, I connected it up to my computer to see if reinstalling nokia belle would make a difference, after reinstalling the software the snowy screen is still there.
Does anyone have any idea of what could be the problem?
