I'm sure Egg SBT's are fee free, hence why they are the vehicle of choice for most stoozers...The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions belong to me; the distinction is yours to draw...0

Correct, they are fee's free, one of the only totally free BT/SBT cards left (although Virgin is, at application)Will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark?0

good i will get going with the transfer then.0

Are you sure it said 6 months? I thought the anniversary offer was restricted to 5 months.manhattan wrote:hi guys,

If you have a green card, Egg sometimes offer you a blue card (with 6 months at 0%) as well.
I've currently got 0% going on both

Hey MarkyMark, what is the difference/benefits of a blue card? They offered me one, but i never took them up on it cos i didn't see why i would need two cards from egg?
Green is visa and blue is MC. Am i right? That to me is no reason to get one.
and yes green card is 5 months. I've got mine on the go at the moment, with the money in savings. he he!0 -
I have a green card and Egg have just emailed me saying I can have a blue card with a £9K credit limit.
You get 0% on purchases til Sept and 0.5% cashback. The blue is useful for the 5 months when your green card is on its limit. Cashback rate is close to the best you can get long term.
i'll probably get one.. I'm just wondering...
- whether they'll do a credit search..
- whether my green credit limit will be pu down - I don't want this, as my anniversary's coming up0 -
Egg blue card is 0% on purchases for five months [not six] It is available to Egg green customers after their first six months. It offers a cashback rate on purchases of 0.5% - making it the obvious choice for purchases now that Egg green is down to only 0.1%. [Min cashback payment is £5 - requires m.t. £1,000 spending between September and following August, therefore.]
Egg blue works for SBTs just like Egg green. It therefore becomes the SBT card of choice during 'anniversary offer' balance transfers to Egg green - while that card remains 'tied up'
There are no additional benefits on Egg blue [eg balance transfers or discretionary cashbacks] but there could be at some point. Additional cardholder offers [of £20 or free wine] have applied to Egg green in the past - so could also to Egg blue. Therefore take the card out in one person's name only, initially......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

They will probably just offer you a matching limit to your green card - doubling their credit line to you. They won't take this off the green and it is even worthwhile requesting a credit limit increase on green in the run up to your anniversary month as this can be done online - and should be instantly approved......under construction.... It's not "five months [not six]". It's end dated, so it depends when you apply how many months you get.Milarky wrote:Egg blue card is 0% on purchases for five months [not six] It is available to Egg green customers after their first six months. The first transaction on my Egg Blue card was 10/12/04 and the 0% period ends on 01/06/05 - so over five months from when I started using it and over six months from when I applied.0
