Good eBay experiences thread

Since many posts on here cover the negative aspects of eBay, I thought we should maybe have a thread for the positive experiences that members have had.
My most recent one was this week. I won a Gameboy cartridge on Sunday night and paid by Paypal, the seller sent me a message on Monday morning to say he had despatched it "signed for" and left me feedback already.
When it arrived on Wednesday AM, it was very well packed in a Post Office cardboard package, not the usual jiffybag. Postage on it was £1.53 and he'd charged me £2.00 P&P. Condition wise the item was perfect, in fact you could think it was new and not used.
I have left positive feedback, wish in this instance I had more room to say more about him/her.

Ahhhhh, a happy smiley thread! I have had very few bad experiences on ebay (I don't sell mobile phones or ipods which is probably why!). I've ebayed for 4 years now and have got some great bargains and had some lovely buyers.
My favourite buyer was a woman who lives in a town I'm thinking of moving to. I sent her an email asking her to tell me some of the advantages/disadvantages of living there (and I said that I totally understood if she didn't have the time). She sent me tons and tons of useful stuff - it must have taken her ages!
The other nice buyer I had was a very forgiving lady. She bought an item and paid by paypal. I packed the parcel up and then totally forgot about it - for 6 weeks! I only remembered it when she emailed me to ask why she hadn't received it. She left me glowing feedback 'cause she said it had cheered her up knowing that there was someone even more ditsy than her.0 -
I'll tell you what makes me happy; buyers that simply say "thank you" "cheers" or anything along those lines. It is really nice to receive praise for your work on eBay, especially when so many people just seem to ask for this and that and complain about tiny little things.
A thank you a day...:DThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -
Vultura, you're absolutely right, we're a bunch of moaning gits on here and all we do is complain!
You tend to forget the good experiences and only remember the times you have problems.
I find it's great when I get an email off a buyer, sometimes weeks after the auction has finished, thanking me for a great item.0 -
What gives me that warm little glow is when you get an e-mail well after the buyer has paid and item delivered...just to say thankyou. It does give you a great lift and the world is all rosy again..........0

I've only recently starting buying on ebay and I went mad over a couple of weeks and bought loads  and every one arrived quickly, was how it was described and great value.......................chuffed to bits:D
so thank you to all my lovely sellers whoever you are0 -
I've never had a bad experience, always got what I expected at a great price, delivered quickly etc. I always pay as soon as the auction finishes and leave feedback as soon as the item arrives. The trouble is I always see something I have to buy!0

Bought a used car. It was exactly as described. Exchanged a few emails with seller regarding documents and to arrange collection. Paid via Paypal. Collected car and really put it through it's paces, I drove it from Liverpool to Scotland without a hitch and am really pleased with my purchase.

I've been buying baby stuff over the last couple of months & have been really impresed with most of the sellers of the second hand stuff, they are excellent sources of informaiton who are eager to share their experiences & tips! They have really been helpful, providing typed instructions when original instruction books have gone missing etc or recommended alternatives etc.
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
I'm really new to ebay, I won six items last week, paid instantly by paypal and then realised that I could've bought any old tat and that I should probably gone out to the shops instead.
At 7.45am on Tuesday morning my postman struggled up my path with an armfull of parcels. Each of my items was delivered in perfect condition, well packaged and I'm absolutely over the moon.....it was better than Christmas!!!!
The first item I ever bought came to just over £4 including postage, when I got the item it was lovely, the postage had cost £4.50 on it's own!
Only problem is...now I'm addicted :rolleyes:Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
Had a recent bad experience, and now everything has gone totally the other way - 3 sellers who gave me positive feedback even before I received the items (and they all arrived incredibly quickly and well packed) and prior to that a seller posted me an item when I'd asked to pick it up instead and let me off the £8 postage as it was their mistake. :j0
