when i filled out the application it says on there do you have pets if so please list them i did tell them i had the pets and they gave me the property knowing i had all 7 no its a totally different housing assoc in a total different area and theres only me and my partner in the 1 bed bungalow, it doesnt say anything about how many pets u can have, the housing officer came out and acknowledged i had stated on the forms and she said they knew full well we had 7 pets, she asked me what type of dogs they are so i told her she said well we will have to see about keeping the dogs just cos she hates dogs ,she turned up unannounced to tell me about the fate of the pets with a smile on her face telling me i have to get rid of some.i managed to save the dogs and 1 parrot who are elderly. she also rung me to tell me that if anything happens to one of the dogs they wont be granting me permission to replace it .
Can you clarify, forget the application form we are asking about the tenancy agreement which is a legally binding contract. Does it say anything about keeping only two pets? Read it again carefully. Also check the website and any other paperwork, did you miss anything about pets and apply for a place you should not have?
If anything more is said verbally ask the housing officer politely to put her concerns into writing explaining to you what covenants you are breaching. Don't get into a discussion or debate about it, just politely repeat your request whatever she says.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
