Without meaning to put a dampener on things.... If draft contracts just being done tomorrow surely you won't complete before Xmas? Have all the searches and surveys been carried out? There will be queries on the paperwork to resolve too. And solicitors will be off for the hols soon.

Let your solicitor get on with their job.

  • Will phone them tomorrow when we are both set to recieve offer in writing...

On paper they are lending me £100k on a £20k salary...with £17k debts.....

The selling solicitors are ready to move just ours need to crack on. Completion is 14th so exchanging contacts must be happening early next week!? Is there a time limit to this? Like a certain time in between each stage.

Excited but trying not to get hopes up too much, anything could go wrong. In paper today 440 mortgage staff for rbs are in training up till xmas so doesnt sound good, no wonder i had to push so much to get this through!!

It's not that rare to exchange and complete on the same day, i.e. at the same time. A bit nerve racking but perfectly doable. Good luck :)

  • I'd be happy enough doing that but do we not need to prove deposit plus where it came from etc?

Either way, a week tomorrow should have another couple of keys!!! Delighted we are making progress just hoping no slip ups!!
