All over the place and really need an action plan!

Hellllllooooooo,

I thought I'd post myself a little diary in the hope it will kick me into gear and get me somewhere in the right direction!!!!

A little about me, I'm in my early thirties, I have a one year old and another on the way (still really early days though so fingers crossed all will be ok). I'm a stay at home mum as I couldnt afford the childcare for going back to work. I'm currently half way through a distance learning degree, which isn't easy with a little one running around, well crawling :). OH works away every other month, so I spend a lot of time trying to sort things myself! Hence why you might see me on here far more than I should!!

Moneywise, I have an OD and a CC which desperately need paying off. OH gives me £50 a month to spend on whatever. He pays all the bills, including food, petrol etc. Now although the OD and CC aren't huge, I really need an action plan to try and pay them off and as you can imagine the £50 doesn't really get me too far.

I'd like to be able to say I'll just pay £50 a month off either but that money is for if I want to go for a coffee with friends, or fancy some chocolate, or need some new clothes or want takeaway etc. I just need to find a way to be clever with it. So any ideas would be very much appreciated.

I also need an action plan to be more organised. Time just seems to get away with me, what with playing with the babe, and feeling sick!!! To be honest my house is a tip! I seem to barely get time to clean it. I need to almost set myself up a timetable or something to get myself together. The babe doesnt sleep too well so I'm very tired most days, especially at the moment as he's got a cold, which means im even less inclined to get my backside in gear!

I have shedloads to ebay but its finding the time to do it!

So basicly I really need some help, on how to get organised, how to make some more money on the side, and how to stay sane at the same time!! so any thoughts or ideas will be really greatly appreciated, I'll try my best to keep posting.

Thanks for reading

Much love

  • Hi Homemadehappiness, I love your name. thank you for posting :) I used to follow fly lady before the babe came along, but I haven't even looked at it since. I guess I find it hard with the babe running around all over the place, but I know i can be more organised, and I LOVE lists, think I might make one for tomorrow.

Oh dear bubba is coughing, I hope he sleeps. Just watcing women behind bars, its crazy!

    Thanks again for posting

  • ooooh lovely, how old is your little one? You're whole life changes when a baby comes along doesn't it. I really didn't realise how much it would!!!! Especially with OH being away so much and being left to run the show. I have to say I'm really scared at the prospect of coping with two, which is why I need to get myself in gear and sorted sooner rather than later!!

Subscribed :) lists are my saviour! That and leaving things in my own way so I don't forget to pick them up on the way out! As for flylady - I'm sure shining your sink is all well and good if you don't have someone un-shining it in the time it's taken you to have a sit down! & if I said to OH oi I just shined my sink! he'd probably cart me off to the loonybin!
    Good luck anyway :D x
PS HMH, just realised I look like I'm doing a sneaky stalk :shhh:

  • oooh scruff hi!!! I'm just reading your diary!! Thanks for posting. Yep lists, I definitely need a list for tomorrow. As for shining sinks, my OH wishes I'd do it! I think he thinks the fact that Im home all day means that i have the time to make the house like a show home!!! So frustrating!!

    ok, list.......
  • DD is 17 months old - how old is your bubs? My OH used to work away too but he has recently been made redundant so is back at home. He's currently a SAHD so think he appreciates what we do when we're "at home all day"

  • oooh lovely, well it might happen quite quickly, so be prepared. It took a year and a half to fall pregnant with our first, and we assumed it would take a while with the second....... nope..... 1 month.... hence the small age gap!!
