hs there as above. The phone recognises the router on the list - says it is connectiong - says it is receiving IP address - and then disconnects! it seems to be a problem with the router as I can access Wifi elsewhere. has anyone got any suggestions please as this has been going on for 2 weeks.thanks

is it the wirless n router? my mac used to have issues with themDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

it's the netgear one and my OH has problems with his MAC every so often where it randomly changes his password! he has phoned Virgin this pm but you lose the will to live after you've repeated ad nauseum the same thing and you can't understand what they are saying half the time - no offence intended.0

When you say it's the netgear one, do you mean the "Superhub" that Virgin supply and Netgear produce?
I've had problems with the range of mine at N class being pretty poor. Found that changing the channel used from automatic to a manually selected one gave me a more reliable connection. That's with two computers upstairs and the router downstairs and nothing major construction-wise between them.
I used inSSIDer to see which channel gave the strongest signal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I had touble with the DD's Virgin hub, anyhoo solved it by using the wps facility. Just press the big blue virgin logo when you have the phone trying to connect and bobs your uncle. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

tried pressing the virgin flashing blue logo after selecting the WPS button connection option on my phone but no success. In fact it didn't seem like a button at all as there was no "give" in it0
