Any tips on what time these jobs are going to be available on gap?

Gap have already posted new jobs today - I'm not expecting any more (although I will check later! ;) )

Just wondering if anyone could answer something for me (Becles you're probably the best person to answer this as your an expert on tax!!)

I use a laptop to do all my MS work on but could do with a newer model. Could I claim this as an expense?

    Thanks:beer:

Becles is right that it is a Capital Allowance (that can be complicated to calculate). If you are likely to be under the tax threshold for earnings - then it's not worth bothering with because it will make absolutely no difference to what you owe/are owed.

My score on RE is 9; odd considering that I've done 6 jobs for them in as many months. I've also had points docked for a job that they had to release from my account, which is frankly not on because I applied to do the job on the date that they specified, and then they called me to say that they'd put the wrong date up! Are we now going to be held responsible for their admin problems? I don't tend to get a lot of work through RE, as they don't often have jobs in my area, but I'm concerned that they might use an (apparently arbitrary) score to restrict what jobs we can do or even take us off the books!

Did my second job for RE on Saturday and my score to date is 17. Had 3 points deducted for having my report proof read and a point off for not submitting within 24hrs of the job.

I've also had penalty points deducted from my score for not being able to receive one of those outbound phone calls, but I could swear they never tried to call me as I kept checking the phone and there were no missed calls...

I'm still having difficulty with the new Jobsearch setup on GAP, sometimes my area is listed and sometimes it isn't, but even when it is there are never any assignments showing. I haven't picked up any jobs since they introduced it and have written twice to them now. I wish they had a simpler and quicker system!

I'm hoping that they will set up a system where all areas are showing all the time. The problem is that if you set up a favourite search by area on a day when not all areas are showing, you will consistently miss places. You need to set up favourite searches on a day where all areas are showing - and heaven only knows when THAT is!

Personally I am delighted to go back to searching by client....:o

    Hi

I am new to MS and have registered with 2 companies. Can I ask someone in the know, if you have to purchase something as part of the MS visit, do you get that money back as well as the fee? If not, I am unsure whether I will proceed with it, as it will be too costly to do!!

    It depends on the company.

Some reimburse you for the purchase and get to keep the item.

Some reimburse but ask you to post the item back to them.

Some ask you to return it and complete a report on how your return was handled.

Some don't reimburse you at all, and it's up to you if you wish to keep it or return it.

It should tell you in the brief if you are getting paid for the item, and what to do with it!
Here I go again on my own....

what jobs was that then jobbingmusician??? The only ones I have noticed was the crap and overpriced stationary shop and for the insult of a fee, I cant believe anyone would do it to say there is two visits involved!

    Which ones did I miss?

BTW I dont get the "clown" on my list
