  • Hmm, in all assignments do you have to tell the place that you are the mystery shopper?! Because I read through the instructions of one assignment, and that was the deal. I don't feel comfortable with this... It kind of defeats the point of 'mystery' shopping.
  • Do you ever get any in the sussex areas

I shouldn't worry too much about it. I 've done two like this and both times it was OK. Most assignments you don't reveal yourself. I was glad I had good service both times though, I imagine it must be a bit awkward if you have had terrible service.

The first time I was really nervous but the manager just smiled and sorted out what I needed. The second time the shop bit went fine but getting the refund took ages as the manger was rushed off his feet and everyone was complaining who was queued up. When I handed the letter over, the manager looked so resigned I felt quite sorry for him. I think they realise they are still being 'shopped' at this stage so they are hardly likely to have a go at you!

No,the majority of assignments dont require you to "reveal"

tev, there are usually assignments in most areas, some more than others

best bet would be to sign up and see what you are offered

you dont have to take any up even if you are offered them :)
  • Just to let everyone know these jobs are not as easy as they sound. The work involved is quite extensive, with numerous photos of the pizza in different positions, and you must get these right or you won't get your money.

Not trying to put everyone off, but I decided against them....I am a bit picky though and don't do GAP jobs either!

If you are interested in mystery shopping, MO have some new opportunities and need to increase their database of shoppers. They are particularly looking for shoppers prepared to undertake home delivery pizza assignments. These assignments are nationwide, incuding a few in Ireland and I will be allocating these myself.

The job involves ordering a pizza from your local store, assessing the delivery/service received, taking photographs of the pizza before tucking in, and completing a simple online form to report back on your experience. The next wave of visits begin shortly.

    You will need:

    Online access
A digital camera of at least 2 MP quality
Have a store close enough to deliver to your home (or a friend's home,
office etc that you can receive delivery at)
A Paypal account (or be prepared to set one up free at www.paypal.co.uk)
    A love of pizza! icon_smile.gif

The cost of the pizza is refunded and a fee is paid on top. Payment is made
by PayPal direct from the client at the end of the month following the month you complete the assignment (so pizza assignments in Dec are paid Jan 31st and so on)

If you would like to register with Mystery Outsource for pizza and future assignments with other clients, please register online at:

I've got my second mystery bank account enquiry today. Will be setting off in a few minutes.

Not had any more requests yet, so maybe this is a quiet time of year? I only registered with one company though.

Just curious, does anyone actually do this as a semi-full time job? If you could do 5 a day for 5-6 days a week that would probably be better than flipping hamburgers in MacDonalds.... Not to mention better exercise too!

JazzyJeff, while I understand your concerns, I did two pizza jobs last Sunday week (my first pizza assignments!) and found them very easy indeed. Numerous photos are not required, just 4 at most, and with digital and flash, very easy to get good pictures and review them in the LCD of the camera. I took my photos on a crowded Tube train, and an Inter-City express, using a 3mp camera, but the jobs here advertised are done in the comfort of one's home. The pizzas are absolutely delicious too!

Correction: You need only 3 photos of the pizza and one of the receipt. Hardly 'numerous', even with a 16mb memory card!

  • Calm down Globbits, I'm sure you will find the right path on life's little journey in the end.

I am not criticising the company in any way, any MS companies are more than welcome as it means more jobs for all of us. I was just letting people know who may not want to put a fair bit of work into this.

More than 1 photo is a lot in my book and I was commenting more really on how you are expected to cut the pizza in very specific ways, so much so that I read through the brief quite a few times before I started to understand what was expected.

Anyway, peace to all MShoppers and enjoy the pizza!!
