Many thanks
Well I did my shop and asked for the receipt, at the right time, and the lady said, sorry we don't give out receipts .... Now what ?
I am just gonna submit my ticket and hope that will be accepted. Maybe I'll win more than the fee, in which case I won't care whether they pay me or not !0 -
i did a similar one for RE but I did not need to submit a receipt.Lightbulb moment 10-06-06

You can claim 40p a mile for business miles. For S/E work, just keep a tally of total S/E miles and multiply it by 40p to get your mileage expenses, and take that off your profits. Your profits will already include reimbursements for mileage, so it'll work itself out.
On PAYE employers keep a tally of the miles for each PAYE company and how much they reimburse you. You can claim the difference between 40p and the mileage paid (if any!) on your tax return. You'll have a page for each employer which is why you need to keep a seperate tally for each company. Here I go again on my own....0 -
does anyone have an example of their spreadsheet they use for msing.....I am not sure how to do it taking into account mileage and the stuff you bought etc.
Also for jobs where you don't get paid you just get the meal for free how do you count them??
and the stuff you bough are they classed as payment as such??Lightbulb moment 10-06-06

I don't have excel at home so have just done a table in word with have 9 colums
Date, Company, Assignment, Fee, Reimbursements, payment date, Milage, Tax (22%), profit from job (which is... fee - milage@40p per mile / 100 x 78 = profit) if that makes sence?
I have to manually add it all up but heyho! I assume you don't include reimbursements in tax because it's not profit!
re "free meals" I'd put it down as fee - £0 reimbursement £whatever it was
