I had managed to burn ophcrack but had forgotten that it was an ISO
so cd writer was working just fine,it`s only now that I am trying to burn using free easy burner that I`m having a problem.
As for carboot origin it was from someone decent that I know from carbooting myself, it`s just that I only occasionally see them so cannot
    contact them to retrieve passwords.

UBCD with 'WindowsNToffline password remover' works a treat. Blanks-out passwords on Windows 95/98/98SE/Me/NT/2k/XP (all)/Vista and '7'.

Never failed to get into a locked-out PC with this.

Comes with its own bootdisk version, if preferred.

Update .Didn`t have any luck with producing my own cd,don`t know what I was doing wrong so i ordered cd off ebay.Got straight in to pc .
All the files are empty as i expected but how do i remove the actual files as i am not having any luck although i do this regularly on my laptop and other pc.Also how do I remove the user names (there are 4). Don`t know how to find out which one is administrator .followed some instructions from internet but when i go into "my computer" and right click i get manage as advised but cannot see Local users and groups .I want to remove the users as i intend giving the pc to my nephew and want it to be easy for him to use.

If possible I'd see if you can just do a factory restore as recommended above, this normally takes just a few minutes and the machine will be completely wiped and given a fresh install of the operating system which is ideal for handing it over to someone else.
